Quality Engineering Lead, Test Automation
- Lead efforts to specificy, design, implement, support and maintain automated test execution frameworks for team use.
- Coordinate test execution, result reporting, and defect resolution efforts with a global team including resources in local, near shore and offshore locations.
- Write, review, automate and maintain test plans and test documentation; find, isolate and report software defects.
- Participate in product and quality planning, specification and development reviews, providing critical feedback to positively influence the result of team efforts.
- Assume ownership of quality team objectives and assignments, delivering high quality results that balance time constraints and high product quality standards
- 3 - 5 years experience in a software quality assurance role.
- Scripting and/or programming experience in a white box or unit testing role.
- Experience testing hosted software or web applications, preferably in a high growth environment.
- Strong understanding of Internet and hosted applications using one or more of the following languages or technologies: HTTP/S, HTML/DHTML/CSS, JavaScript/Jscript/VBScript, AJAX, PHP, MySQL.
- Knowledge of automation tools and products available, particularly those that are web oriented, script-driven or extensible.
- Knowledge of common software design patterns and practices; ability to analyze and select patterns and practices best suited to a particular problem.
- Good knowledge and experience of the software development life cycle including design, development, testing methodologies and software release processes.
- Experience working with distributed organizations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
