NetBooks Training and Functional Demos
These training classes and functional demos are ideal for helping you understand NetBooks better. There is no charge, and you need not be a customer to participate.
1. Product Overview and Navigation
In this session, you'll become acquainted with your new business management system. You'll learn how to navigate NetBooks, what your customization options are, and all about NetBooks' company-, contact-, message-, item-, and activity-management features. If your company tracks lots, you'll also learn all about NetBooks' lot-tracking features.
2. Setting Preferences and Permissions
Before you begin using NetBooks, you'll want to customize its functionality to suit your business practices and set access rights for your NetBooks users. In this session, you'll learn how to set and edit your preferences, and how to establish user permissions.
3. Managing Customer Relationships
Effectively managing your customers and prospects leads to better customers relationships, increased loyalty and improved profitability. In this session, you'll learn how to manage companies and the contacts within them, as well as manage your revenue opportunities and customer-service issues. You'll also learn how to access a customer's sales history so that you can understand their buying patterns and tailor your marketing strategies accordingly.
4. Managing the Sales Order Process
NetBooks simplifies the sales-order process, putting order status and history at your fingertips. You'll have the information you need to determine what to sell more of and what to retire, as well as who's buying what and how much. In this session, you'll learn how to create and confirm new sales orders, as well as manage existing ones. You'll also learn how to authorize returns.
5. Fulfilling Sales Orders and Processing Returns
Using NetBooks, you can monitor each step in the fulfillment and return processes. You'll always know where and when an order was shipped, by what carrier, and at which rate of service, as well as track your shipments. In this session, you'll learn how to process shipping requests and returns by completing shipping request forms, shipping complete and partial orders, printing packing slips, confirming shipments, and documenting the receipt of returned merchandise.
6. Managing Inventory
In this session, you'll learn how to use NetBooks to manage your inventory. Topics include entering your inventory items into NetBooks, checking an item's quantity, accessing an item's transaction history, transferring items among warehouses, and determining everything you have in stock ready to be sold.
7. Switching to NetBooks
In this session you will learn about the process for switching to NetBooks, including how NetBooks supports you through the process, how to migrate your data into NetBooks and the recommended best practices for doing so.
8. Managing the Sales Catalog
In the NetBooks Sales Catalog feature, you can manage the products that you sell, as well as everything you need to sell your products, including services and non-inventory items. After attending this session, you'll be able create and manage your sales catalog.
9. Managing the Production Process
NetBooks provides powerful yet easy to use tools for managing your production processes and costs, and keep on top of raw materials, purchased services, labor, subassemblies, and finished goods. In this session, you'll learn how to enter and manage production elements in NetBooks. You'll also learn how to use NetBooks to request materials and production runs, execute regular and batch production runs, and transfer finished goods to inventory.
10. Bookkeeping
NetBooks includes a fully integrated bookkeeping function. After attending this session, you'll be able to use the chart of accounts to manage your equity. You'll also be able to manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, perform general journal entries, routine banking transactions, and adjust the quantity and value of your inventory items and production elements in NetBooks.
11. Using Reports
NetBooks offers a variety of predefined, detailed and summary reports to track sales, receivables, payables, financials, and much more. In this session, you'll learn how to use and tailor NetBooks reports. Topics include setting criteria for sorting, filtering, and saving reports.
12. Point-of-Sale
NetBooks Point-of-Sale (POS) will let businesses with a retail operation automate transaction processing, streamline inventory management and deliver exceptional customer service to retail customers. Unlike other POS solutions that are separate from your accounting and inventory management systems, NetBooks POS is an integrated solution that directly connects the retail POS to the financial and inventory management processes. In this session, you will learn how to install, configure and use NetBooks Point-of-Sale.
13. Web Store Integration
NetBooks has partnered with Chain Reaction Ecommerce to seamlessly integrate web orders with your financial and inventory management processes in NetBooks. Chain Reaction Ecommerce provides CRE Loaded, a complete online store built on the widely accepted osCommerce Open Source application.
In this session, you will learn how you can manage your online store more efficiently with accurate, real-time information about product information, pricing and inventory availability. Topics include how to use NetBooks to centrally manage the sales catalog, update product pricing, options and inventory levels, synchronize this information with the online store, automatically update your web store with your inventory information and automatically send your web orders to NetBooks for processing.
